| VISION FOUNDATION is also regularly involved in
implementing Environment Management Programmes under Ministry
of Environment & Forests, Government of India; in implementing
Aids Control Programme under Aids Control Foundation, Delhi;
in implementing Pulse Polio vaccination in South Delhi areas
on behalf of Government of Delhi. |
| Micro Credit Programmes |
| VISION is actively involved at the grass-root
level, to mobilise people for micro-credit activities and has
established close links with women and other disadvantaged groups
in urban slums in Delhi and rural areas of UP (Saharanpur),
Haryana and Rural Delhi. |
| Women Empowerment |
| VISION has been involved in women’s empowerment
by organizing skill development training under Rural Entrepreneurship
Development Programme (REDP) and developing & managing income
generation programmes successfully through National Board for
Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD) support. The package
has been designed to ensure that women grow into economically
independent, aware of their rights & duties with abilities
to manage their own affairs. |

| CATTLE DUNG COOPERATIVE
(All Women), supported by UN-APCTT (United Nations – Asian
& Pacific Center for Technology Transfer) |
| VISION FOUNDATION has organized an all women’s
cattle dung cooperative in Ambala Cantonment, Haryana for processing
the cattle dung of nearly 2000 cattle, owned by about 100 Dairying
families. Target Group: Women members of
Cattle Owner families, in Ambala Cantonment Haryana. |
| Problem areas: |
Environment: The huge deposit
of cattle dung was affecting the environment and hygiene.
Women’s Health: By cooking food,
using cattle dung cake as fuel, average health of women was
much below national average. Programme Objective:
To design a system for generating incomes, in a sustainable
manner, utilising the cattle owned by the community of 100 families.
Methodology: By developing a Bio-Gas
Plant capable of processing the cattle dung and generating revenue
through sale of Gas and Bio-Manure, owned and managed by a Women’s
Cooperative. |
| Activities undertaken: |
| VISION FOUNDATION developed India’s first
Cooperative Bye Law for Cattle Dung Cooperative and got it approved
by the Government of Haryana.
All Women’s Cooperative Society formed through extensive
community mobilization.
The first All Women Cattle Dung Cooperative was registered
at Ambala Cantt. Haryana.
Designed and commissioned the Bio-Gas Plant.

| Uttar Pradesh Diversified
Agricultural Support Project (UP-DASP)- supported by the World
Bank |
With a view to making integrated development in
the field of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Dairy, Horticulture,
Sericulture and rural infrastructure, the World Bank has supported
this project through the Government of India.
VISION FOUNDATION was appointed by UP-DASP to implement the
project in Ghaziabad District of Uttar Pradesh to mobilize the
farming community, provide social intermediation services and
create an effective community based and demand driven perspective.
VISION has also been working with concerned line departments
in an integrated manner to ensure sustenance of the activities
undertaken under the project.

| Technology Transfer |
| VISION Team is involved in the transfer of latest
agricultural technology through extension services |
| Micro Credit |
| Micro Credit is arranged from the nationalized
Banks for supporting the process of technology transfer and
marketing of Agricultural Products. |
| INCOME for FOOD |
Income for Food, is a programme
implemented for creating a model of success in the area of Livelihood
Generation. Target Group: Women’s
Self Help Groups in Urban, Rural and Slum Areas. Programme
Objective: To generate INCOME, in a sustainable manner,
for basic needs and to ensure food security. Methodology:
By developing an integrated system of production and marketing
of common articles (within the levels of competence of Women
SHGs and Consumer demand), where the system is owned and managed
by the Women SHGs. |

& packaging, provided Branding Support and Marketing
under its Brand Name VISION. |

Marketing of Agarbattis (incense) and Honey, produced
by Women SHGs under the VISION brand name. |

Both Agarbattis and Honey were sold in selected General
Stores in Delhi. |

| KVIC |
| The SHG products were sold through KVIC outlets
in the beginning with very positive results. A study among the
buyers of VISION Agarbattis confirmed the preference of VISION
brand above other brands in KVIC Outlets. |
